Our Featured Junior Rider of the Month is Misha Sohdi!

Misha will be starting her 6th year at Lancers. Misha started riding when she was 9 years old after following in the foot steps of her older sister Manya. “I would often come

with my family to either drop her or pick her up from her riding lessons. And during those times I got to see how the younger riders would prepare the horses before the lessons and on

numerous occasions I got to see my sister’s lessons through the viewing room.” Misha fell in love with the sport and the animals and then was so excited to be able to start in the beginner course.

Lancers is a very special place to Misha and her whole family. They paly and active role in Lancer life. “I have made great friends, enjoyed every lesson and continued to spend some of my best childhood memories. I have been an honour guard and a spare rider

for the Musical Ride, and one day I look forward to being one of the riders in the

Musical Ride.” Misha loves to spend as much time as she can at the barn and is always willing to lend a helping hand, especially with the younger riders. Misha is a great friend to everyone, both horse and human, she thinks all of the horses are special in their own way but she has a soft spot for Ava.

“Lancers is a special place to be. More so for our family as my elder sister is an active Lancer and my younger sister is equally eager to join us . We are looking forward to the day when we all

three sisters would be Lancers and perhaps ride together someday. Needless to say, Lancers is

our second home, there is a magical bond between the horses and riders. I enjoy working,

riding and having good laughs with my fellow riders and some of whom have become great

friends. As the saying goes “Once a Lancer , Always a Lancer” , I continue to enjoy my youth

Lancer days now and hope to continue in my adult life too.” Misha isn’t afraid of hard work and is always up for the challenge, she may be small but she is mighty, and it has been a pleasure to have her be apart of the Lancer community! We also cant wait for the day when all three of the siblings are riding together!
