Volunteering at Lancers

We are often asked by non-members from the public about ways to volunteer or help Lancers. As a not-for-profit, we would not exist without the donated time and efforts of our membership, but we do understand that there are plenty of other folks who want to help out in any way they can! The safety of our riders, visitors, and our horses is of the utmost importance to us. For this reason, volunteer opportunities for non-members involving direct contact with the horses are limited. Below are a few ways the general public can help keep Lancers around for generations to come.

Volunteering is easiest if you are associated with a member of Lancers. Members are encouraged to have friends and family help out with clean-up days, shavings deliveries, events, and fundraisers throughout the year.

If you are not associated with a member, you can still help out! Our therapeutic riding program is always looking for reliable volunteers to help out with their programming. We also have some public events which we can use a helping hand with! Our Downtown Horse Show is the biggest fundraiser we have all year and we need sponsorship for all of our classes. We need people to reach out to local businesses for support.
