Our Featured Adult Rider of the Month is Christine McNeil!

Christine started riding at Lancers in the fall of 2021 in the adult beginner course. Christine loves coming to the barn for the smell and touch of the horses. Christine says that horses have helped her in life because “Learning and exercise are important to me. The horses give me the opportunity to push myself to do better. When my body and mind feel better. I’m better as a person.” She sends a picture of the horse she's riding to her family every Monday night, which is a new tradition they all enjoy.

Since Christine became a member she has been quick to jump into all of our volunteer opportunities. She has been a valuable Therapeutic Riding volunteer in the last two sessions, In the summer she volunteered with our public pony rides, and during August clean up she brightened up the barn with a fresh coat of white paint.

Christine loves all of the horses, but if she had to pick one in particular it would be Alice, she enjoys her A5 group on Monday nights and being a part of the Lancer community “Lancers is a wonderful place to learn, have fun and to give back. I feel happy every time I walk into the barn and feel accompanied when I leave.” Christine hopes to continue her riding career and so do we! We have enjoyed having you as a member Christine, and look forward to many more years with you!
