Our Featured Staff of the Month is Elise Lutwick Campbell

Elise has been a Lancer for 10 years as a junior rider. She has taken part in all the activities Lancers has to offer, which have all helped to develop her horsemanship and stable management skills. This has helped her become a highly skilled and valued staff member as a stablehand, barn monitor, and certified instructor.

“I love working with the horses and creating special bonds with them as well as riding them and competing at horse shows. I find it very rewarding. Working with horses takes a lot of responsibility and hard work that other jobs don’t always require”, Elise shared. Elise was very quiet in her younger years, and watching her find her voice over the years, particularly as a confident instructor to riders of all ages has been rewarding for those around her as well.

Working at Lancers was made better, according to Elise, because Lancers is very inclusive and she loves the community feel and finding connections with all age groups.

Elise is headed off to university and we’ll be sad to see her go! Elise says that working at Lancers helped her “become responsible, efficient, and proactive and that will help [her] during university and later in life”.

We have been fortunate to have Elise on our team and we know she will continue to contribute to her community in the next chapter of her life!
